NOTICE: Arcadia's legislative funding was vetoed in 2018. As a result of the veto and coronavirus, Arcadia Staff are not hosting on-site school tours until further notice. Group tour inquiries may be honored if staffing is available.
Arcadia Virtual School Tour Now Available!
Arcadia is excited to announce a virtual school tour option, Meet Me at the Mill: Exploring Arcadia Mill Archaeological Site.
Educators/students and families are invited to explore Arcadia Mill through an animated, virtual school tour! The 40 minute school tour is narrated by Andie the Archaeology Ant who examines local history and chronology paired with the study of archaeology! The video is available to rent through a streaming link and educators will receive a 50 page packet with supplementary educational material, suggested activities, and elementary benchmarks/standards for 1st- 5th grades.
Tour fee is $2 per student or $10 for groups/households of 5 or less students

Museum in a Trunk
Teachers are able to check out our fabulous museum trunk and teach classroom lessons in a unique way. The trunk is available for $20 per week for in classroom use. Please contact the Education Staff for availability.
Civil War Trunk- Recommended for 3rd- 4th grade, this crucial period of our country’s history is brought to life by exploring this trunk filled with clothing, games and toys, and home goods that represent Santa Rosa County during the Civil War.
Arcadia Mill offers a variety of programming that caters to visitors of all ages! Our programming includes monthly Kid's Crafts and annual events like the Secrets of Santa Rosa: Archaeology and History in Your Backyard lecture series, our evening lantern tour Arcadia After Dark, and much more! Seasonal programming includes the Sawmills & Skirmishes Civil War tour in the Fall and the Florida's Flora tour in the Spring. Check out our calendar of events for more information!
