How to Book a Private Tour

As a result of limited operations, all private tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance to ensure a guide is available. Private tour options include single-site experience or double-site with self-guide option. Guests of the Mill receive a guided tour of the boardwalk and Discovery Pavilion and guests of the Homestead receive a tour of the historic Simpson House and grounds. 


PLANNING & SCHEDULING YOUR VISIT:

Step 1. Choose at least two possible tour dates and times (Fridays and Saturdays only)

Step 2. Choose your tour option:

  • Single-site experience: Tour of the Mill or Homestead, $2.00 per person or $20.00 flat fee for groups of less than 10 individuals
  • Double-site experience: Tour of the Mill or Homestead and admission to both, admission fee applies

Step 3. To schedule a tour or for more information, please contact Arcadia Staff at arcadiamill@uwf.edu or (850) 626-3084 ext. 101. Please note that emails receive a faster response. Reservations must be made with two weeks' notice. The earlier the better!

Tour Times and Length: Tours may begin no earlier than 9:30 a.m. and no later than 2:30 p.m. Tours last no longer than 1.5 hours.

Capacity: Tours will accommodate up to 20 individuals. For groups larger than 20, please consult with Arcadia Staff for accommodation.

Picnicking: Both the Mill and Homestead have shaded picnic areas that all scheduled groups are welcome to use. Arcadia Staff must be notified of picnicking prior to the day of your tour.
