Public art can help elevate a city center from practical infrastructure to a space cherished by the community. By adding in a historic element to all of the art we share downtown, we create opportunities for residents and tourists of all ages to learn about the illustrious history of our great city. With a mural trail that spans across downtown and involves multiple organizations and property owners, this venture becomes a community-curated project which everyone involved can take pride in. Along with the costs associated with the printing, mounting and installation of the murals, all funds provided to the Pensacola Mural Trail will go to help the UWF Historic Trust continue to learn, interpret and share the unique history of our local region.
