Arcadia Mill offers tours and educational programming for visitors of all ages!

Walk-up public tours are available during business hours, Tuesday- Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last tour leaves at 3:15 p.m.)

TOUR NOTICE:

We are excited to begin remodeling the Visitor's Center during Fall 2016!

Scheduled group and school tours will be temporarily suspended between August 1, 2016 and January 1, 2017. Contact our Education Staff to schedule your tour for Spring 2017!

Our educational programming adheres to Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) and also employs a multidisciplinary approach to education that emphasizes historical, archaeological, and scientific awareness as well as critical thinking skills. We offer tour options for all grades designed for school groups, home schoolers, and other educational organizations.

Museum in a Trunk

Teachers are able to check out our fabulous museum trunk and teach classroom lessons in a unique way. The trunk is available for $20 per week for in classroom use. Please contact the Education Staff for availability.

Civil War Trunk- Recommended for 3rd- 4th grade, this crucial period of our country’s history is brought to life by exploring this trunk filled with clothing, games and toys, and home goods that represent Santa Rosa County during the Civil War.

Programs

Arcadia Mill offers a variety of programming that caters to visitors of all ages! Our programming includes annual events such as the Secrets of Santa Rosa: Archaeology and History in Your Backyard lecture series in October, our week-long Explore Arcadia Mill summer camp through UWF, the Public Archaeological Field Lab held in conjunction with Arcadia’s summer field school, and much more! Arcadia Staff recently added two new and exciting programs including our evening Lantern Tour in October and Arcadia Arts & Crafts on select Saturdays.
